Boston: Last ride of the season Part 1.

On Saturday, Oct. 20th, X-Triple and I will be meeting at 9:00 in Needham for a short morning ride.

The first destination is GBMS in Arlington to pre-register for my new bike.

If anyone would like to join us, either for the ride there, to meet there, or for a short blast afterward, call me at 781-760-7541.

(Although the following is for the 28th, were going to see if we can pre-register for my new bike)

Looks like you get some track school time with the deal... Are all BMW dealers part of this promotion, or is just local to your area?

I'm not sure Bill. All I know is that I'm going to win a R1200S, and I'll be teaching someone how to ride for my effort (apparently, northing's really free).

Is chain lube the same as spline lube?

You get the spline lube free with the new splines.

What do you have to do to apply that stuff? I think I know. Better ask Flatty or Wswartzel ?

Let's just say it's probably easier to lube your piston rings.

We inadvertently drag raced an M6 (the M6 driver wanted to “see what it could do against a bike”), saw a Newb-Betty, that had just gotten her license 30 minutes earlier, fail to negotiate a left turn and promptly tip her bike over in the middle of RT. 2A, while we were sipping coffee at Motomarket.

And we attempted to fit X-Triple into one of Arai’s helmets; to no avail.

Other than that, it was a typical ride.

Garage
I plan on riding much later into the year God willing. Only snow, ice and salt will keep me from riding and temps below 30 degrees.
