NunBetter - winter in the Rockies?

As frost appears on the Pumkin ... we rely more on sticky tyres ...

but ...

Our NunBetter Baton Ride may not make it over the Rockies this Winter.

All good ... It DID spend a year on the Right Coast ...

Please recall - we are happy to carry across the the Ancient Bonneville Lake Bed ... in any direction ... and our friends in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California are looking forward to the opportunity.

So ... since I don't mind riding ~3000 miles in a few days, the bike can handle the abuse and the wife knows better than to complain ... I DO care about my Pelican friend's safety.

Maybe our NunCowl can Winter somewhere in Colorado or Utah.

It still gets below 50 in Colorado & Utah. How's about letting it bask in the mild temps of So Cal?

Lets try not to let the cowl pass up anyone who is on the list to ride with it though. If it takes another year, then it takes another year is the way I personally look at it.

I rode with it in FL 15 months ago, and it makes me smile everytime I see via photos there is another signature added. A little extra "flight time" in the cowls logbook will make it that much cooler when it's presented to Shannon's parents. Two plus years later he's still on our minds and in our hearts.

I think I'll go drink one to Shannon now.

I live at 6000ft. and in Douglas county close to Elbert. They keep changing the forecast, it's ranged from 1"-18"!!!

We'll see by morning.

From 9News(KUSA)

DENVER - Much of Colorado is bracing for a major winter storm that will start late Wednesday night and continue through early Thursday afternoon.

The Denver metro area is under a Winter Storm Warning that will go from midnight Wednesday until noon on Thursday.

9NEWS Meteorologist Kathy Sabine says cold air is moving in from the north at the same time moisture from what is left of Tropical Storm Paul is surging up from the south.

Kathy says it will start to rain overnight and it will change into snow for many areas as temperatures get colder.

Downtown Denver could see 3 to 6 inches of snow, but the southern and western suburbs could get much more, according to Kathy. She says those areas, especially locations above 6,000 feet, could see as much as 10 inches of snow.

Kathy says the heaviest snowfall will be in Douglas and Elbert Counties. She says 10 to 18 inches of snow is possible by late Thursday morning in those areas, including Franktown, Elizabeth, Kiowa and Castle Rock.

There is also a Blizzard Warning in effect for the Palmer Divide and I-25 corridor, including Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Wind gusts could go over 40 mph and visibility will be down to below one-quarter of a mile.

Motorists are warned that any travel late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning along I-70 and south could be extremely hazardous. It could also be dangerous on I-25 in southern Colorado.

A Snow Advisory is also in effect for the western mountains, including Steamboat Springs, Beaver Creek and many other areas along the I-70 corridor west of Vail. Those areas could get 6 to 12 inches of snow by Thursday morning.

Ckcarr ,better put some chains on that Harley, it might handle the snow better than the new 1200S.
