Rapid bike 3

Who has the best price for the Dimsport Rapid bike 3? I have read that some places discount the list price. How easy is it to switch from one to the other of the 2 maps which are loaded onto the Rapid Bike 3?

Eddie; you're a true pioneer...CF telelever arm, thru-the-tank intake...YOU get to be the first dude to try one!
I tried to find out something about them last fall and got nowhere.
It sure would be nice to change maps on the fly....perfect for a dry nitrous system

Jony, I have a new toy. I am playing with a 2006 K1200R. I have built a slipon with a 2 1/2 inch core just like the Power Cup muffler. I also installed 2 K&N cone filters which stick out like Madonna's Bra. The bike still needs more power (you never get enough), my ZX-10 will run off and hide from the Beemer. I like alot of things about the K1200R but the power delivery is sooo anemic.

I believe that K motor is just screaming for a cute little mitsu turbocharger right under the cylinder block.
remember:

Anemic? How so?

K1200R + K&N + Laser Duotech full system + Rapid Bike.

That's a 23hp gain, at the rear wheel. Total of 176hp at the wheel doesn't sound anemic to me.

My K1200R has a slip on with a 2 1/2 inch core like the Laser Power Cup muffler and 2 K&N filters with the stock computor software (I don't know which addition it has but would guess it has a 6. something). Before you get excited you need to go and ride a ZX-10 or ZX-12 Kawasaki and then you will see what I am talking about. The Kawasaki's have massive power compaired to the Beemer. I am looking for ways to add more musle to the K-bike.

Well, the graphs I posted are obviously not standard, but given the minor changes this engine seems to have lots of potential. That said, I don't think anyone would call 176hp at the wheel anemic. That's about 200hp at the crank and neither the ZX10 or the ZX12 have that much power in stock config.

I am in the process of inquiring about the Rapid Bike 3 with Robert Foster. He is to get back with me next week. I know what I have now, I just find it hard to believe the Rapid Bike will make that much difference. I certianly hope so!!!! The torque reading of 146.6 Nm, what would that be if it were converted to foot pounds of torque? What addition of the BMW software do you have installed?

That's a 107 foot pounds of torque.

It's not my bike, it's from one of the Dutch S riders I know. I don't know which moronic version he is running. The bike is a 2006.

Given the gains and mods, the bike seems to be severly restricted in flow in standard configuration.

Sorry, but 23hp and 107 lbs. of torque from a SLIP ON, K&n's, & a controller is VERY hard to believe. I'll believe that when one of OUR guys gets those results.

Eddie;
When you get that RB module, cut one map for a dry nitrous system
the new BMW 4 is a very sophisticated unit, but one thing it's NOT is stronger than a ZX10R or anywhere near a ZX14.
That doesn't make it a worse bike, just different, for a different demographic. It DOES have shaft drive...but then so will the new concours14.

I still say this particular engine would lend itself especially to turbocharging. The juxposition of the parts just seems to beg for it.

All of these rompin' stompin' F15-fast hypersikkles are more thsan mere mortal man can ask for....and few can ride them even colse to thier potential, much less on the street....but OH what fun.

Jony, I would love to strap a turbo on this bike. I can do the fabrication and installation but I don't know anyone who can do the electronics. A turbo system for a motor this big would have to have 2 more injecters to richen the mixture while under boost.

Don't take it personally. It wasn't meant that way. From my many years of high performance experiences and close relationships with engine builders, those results are a stretch.

I'll be the first to apologize when I see results like that from one of "our" people done on a Dynojet 250 here in the good ol' U.S. of A.
