N8! visits Las Vegas
Nate Kern was in town last weekend for Track Day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to prepare for the WERA West Race June 30-July 1. I had the pleasure of meeting him at dinner Friday night and get a brief perspective of his racing career. Saturday was the real deal though.... watching him tear through the Level 3 folks (I kept a very low profile in the Level 1 group, I didn't need any humbling experiences). Quite impressive to watch him at work, passing 2, 3 and even 4 experienced riders before, through and exiting the corners.
The folks at BMW of Las Vegas are sponsoring Nate for the race and have prepped a bike for him....as you can see from my photos, some of the prep work was last minute, but in the end, the lady in black looked really good....especially at speed with N8 piloting. Between track sessions, I hustled down to my favorite vantage point to photograph the action as seen below. See ya in July N8.....bring an air cooled set o' leathers with ya! Brock Nate.... ![]() Graphics application.... ![]() Waitin' and shootin' the breeze.. ![]() Time to ride 'em ![]() ![]() Wheelie time..... ![]() Just passin' by.... ![]() ![]() ![]() And for a parting shot, this old fart tryin' to get a knee down... ![]()

Great Picture of Nate and the old fart
I can't wait to see him the end of this month (I hope). He is suppose to Topeka, Kansas for a race, but MotoST is the same weekend, and its across the county (VIR). Kevin P.S I'm diggin the Yellow and Black. Yellow and black R1100S's are the fastest.
