Wow.
I am going to order one of these babys. Juding by their power graph, this little beauty will increase my power from the barely adequeate 155hp to about 175hp at just over 4000 rpm. Look out 'busas |
the item is no longer listed. maybe it also got you 100mpg and the goverment found out, and shut the guy down and took his family to a secret facility in the desert where they hold such people hostage to protect the oil mongers

It's still there.

Possibly it's a 90% voltage divider that makes the ECU think the the mixture is leaner than it is. But as a passive device, it would do so at all times and conditions that the ECU was running in feedback mode which is a lot for a car but not much for an R1100S. The ECU enrichens the mixture to compensate.
So it might be like a "CO Pot" which I think is an adjustable voltage divider installed on some R1100Ss in different parts of the world. That would be a better move because it is adjustable. Under some surging conditions might be beneficial. But there's not too much wrong with the mixture in the first place unless tuning was screwed up. Simple enrichment doesn't cause the power to increase unless the mixture was seriously lean to begin with and when you are just cruising on the superslab in feedback mode, just as well to go for economy over power. |
which is nothing that removing the cat code plug wouldn't do for free...
