And some think these lenses aren't worth it!

Actually I have more zoom, but I didn't have more time.

If anyone wants a higher resolution copy of that shot just PM me. I'm not sure how it will turn out all blown up however.

LOL... I stayed at the mokelumne hotel once.... supposed to be haunted!... hell yes, it was... the darn fire alarm went of and someone from a neighboring town had to come and shut it off... it was right next to my ear...

Fun town though... would be nice if they pave their roads though....

arghh. Craig.... I have shot the arch through the hole in the wall on the top (where you walk around initially)... this park has just done a number on me... just been roaming around thinking "who builds this stuff"?

Arches is one of the most fascinating things I have EVER seen... you are stoked to live where you live!

Why would we cover a perfectly good dirt Main Street with all that black goo?

Besides, when the Town Sheriff chases us hooligans out of town for "kick'n up dust" on our BSA 441's, the bias-ply tires on his Galaxy 500 hook-up better on pavement than our K70's.

He hasn't caught us yet. But if he does, I'll bet he won't let us fish his pond for a few weeks.

Cowl Update

The cowl is still in Utah although plans have been made for it to head up to Wyoming and then over to the PacNW thanks to Modog. He just needs to coordinate a few personal things (his son just came back from Afghanistan) ... then we'll hook up in Vernal or thereabouts.

Meanwhile a couple members of the board came through town last night on their way to the BMW rally in Panguich this weekend.

Bikerfish inspecting the cowl in my driveway. A pair of r1100s bikes rode hard and put away wet.

Bikerfish & Rottenbiker posing with the cowl.

A nice simple dinner at Eddie McStiff's. I'm google eyed because of the cute waitress taking the picture.

And then, they're heading off to their campground. The guy talking to Rottenbiker is a BMW rider who just happened to be in Moab from Sand Point, ID.

Well,

I have been waiting for Modog to get back in touch with me. Last time I spoke with him he told me he had the whole summer off and would be able to carry it somewhere, preferably up to the NW. We were planning to meet in Vernal Utah or thereabouts.

He had some family business priorities first, his son had returned from Afghanistan. As a matter of fact I sent an email just a few days ago to remind him but have not heard back yet.

I am awaiting a reply.

And what happened to you guys? Did you make it to Utah?

Here's where I stand. My stock shocks went completely TU about two weeks ago. My 1975 Z1 now treats my back better than the S, so I have a pair of Wilbers coming. They should be here the week after next, so I'm pretty much out of commision until then...besides, I leave for NYC on Wednesday for a Dispatch concert...so the Wilbers and I should get home at about the same time.

If anybody else wants to get the cowl out west before my bike is back on line, then feel free to set up a meet with CK...if you can stand the heat...jeez...102 here at altitude today.

I haven't been avoiding you CK, but I've been spending some QT with the #1 son. We spent Saturday at Northern Colorado BMW test riding the Ducati fleet, fly fished the Big Horns on Monday, then climbed the Tower on the Fourth. He's now back in Laramie, so after NYC, I shouldn't have any distractions.

I'd say it's a little hot right now...

Hopefully this is the heat wave and it will cool off for the TOR in a few weeks.

Of course next week I have to be in Las Vegas anyway.

So climbing the Devil's Tower on the 4th of July. That's sort of like those first ascenters who pounded the wooden steps into the side just in time back in the 1893.

LOL... I rode the bike Wed. and Thursday in that Dry heat... my eyes could have easily done for a Visine" commercial... they are still red!

We actually soaked out t-shirts and they were dry again after 5 minutes of riding...
