this looks like fun!

being an ex-motoxer guy i get the urge ever once in a while to get back to dirt, but dirt biking in NJ is pretty much non-PC. I think i would love to do some supermoto racing, but i dont know where any races are. this looks like a pretty competent piece of equipment for the task!

Motard is a blast, a lot of guys I track/ride with have bought motards and run on a local go cart track, only 10 miles from my house, they only charge $35 for 5 hr sessions. I borrowed a bike for about a 20 min session, and it is a real work out, and a blast. Hope to have one of my own by fall

firebolter has run two races up in jersey...if you are in a metro conjested areas, usually the only way to ride is being par tof a club that owns or leases land. he is a member of two such clubs in the DC area and they have lond in MD and VA to use. we just did some riding yesterday.

i have the husky 510 supermoto bike (so does jeff williams).

...so..i guess i now have two bmw's in the garage.

(funny...i don't FEEL snottier, my nose isn't raising higher in the air, still talk to the neighbors and my FICO score is unchanged).

How "public" is public land? Let me guess, no hunting, trapping, mortorcycles, etc...The only people who can use it are the ones not paying any type of fee, ie, registration, license, etc. Tree hugging, bird watchers in kayaks.

out here in the far west, when I run into hikers who have attitude and we're on MULTIPLE USE TRAILS, clearly designated as such (I don't do stupidity like riding on hiking-only designated trails....too much, hehehe)
I generally just glare at them. If that doesn't work, a wheelie thru the pack usually does, and if that doesn't, there's always the little holster hanging on the side of my gear belt...the one with Col. Ruger's permanent cure for boneheads contained within.
I had a group of 'em once try to surround me (again, on clearly marked MULTIPLE USE trails) and try to give me 'tude like 'we don't like dirt bikes'.
My reply: 'I don't like frakking nature-nazi eco-whacko pukes either. now who wants to go first?'

now, of course, this is the far west.
I suspect in NJ, they'll choppper in Barbara Streisand to lecture you on the error of your ways
