R1100S Pulls to the right

When I take my hands of the bars the bike pulls to the right. I don't notice it when I am holding the bars. It's not a real hard pull but it requires that I shift my body weight to the left to keep it going strait. There does not seem to be any adjust ment for alignment, like you would have with a chain drive. Any one noticed this?

A little is Okay, a lot probaby indicates an aligment issue. Probably normal. Road camber tends to pull bikes to the right also.

Mine does it too. I "rest" sitting up with the throttlemeister and have to ride kinda lopsided.

since most paved roads have a bit of a camber, you think the engineers might have made the engine rotate the other way, and made the net effect be neutral, unless of course they were figuring it is better to drift off the road, than into oncoming traffic.

No problems here ... road camber slopes to the left

I reckon the engine rotates the right way

So the next time you have a road with a crown that slopes each way from the center lane, see if riding in the left lane has no drift due to the flat twins centrifugal effect being counteracted by the slope to the left. Don't try this without parental supervision due to opposite direction traffic.

the single sidedswingarm also puts a small weight bias towards the right. when i throw on saddle bags for a weekend on the road it goes straight when i put enough weight in the left side bag. i think the driveshaft only makes the bike change attitudes when the rotational speed of the driveshaft changes.
just my opinion though

SERIOUSLY ...

... could this explain why the bottom of the forks on the LEFT is cratered to hell (by small rocks, etc) whilst the right side is almost MINT?

I should post some pics ... but it's bloody weird ... !

I like to hang two of those cupholders from the one side of the bars, but only one on the side the bike is pulling towards.
This normally straightens the ride right out.

If one is deprived and only has a pair of cup holders, put the beverage with lower specific gravity on the pulling side. Also, drink it second.
