Get a set of Lennie's sprockets and install them. Some of the best money you'll spend on your S, especially if you've done intake/exhaust mods.

Do you have a link? I've got a buddy with a r1200 adventure with first gear that's a little on the tall side. Any info is appreciated with this slight hijack

Lennie's sprockets give you a great low-gear punch. My S will pull the wheel off the ground in 3rd gear. He's a great guy to talk to, and will be more than happy to chat with you. He's active in the forum, and shouldn't be hard to contact.
