Sounds like you were there too. Unless your are kidding and just got it right. But the USAF A-37 was based at Howard AFB in Panama which is where we were staged out of and flew in to Honduros and elsalvodor. The forest service part, well my unit is very active in doing that too. The North Carolina Air National Guard. We have the MAFFS unit: Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System. I was not maffs qualfied, and did not want to be. I was a loadmaster and when I got out in 1994 I had 2000 hours and a lot of lost heart beats. :-) If you were down there which format?
I still stay in touch with alot of the guys. One of my best friends is a aircraft commander, going to diner and drinking with wives sat. night.

Regards,
Lane

no, lane I wasen't there in person. I just happen to know a couple of the players in that sordid drama. You DO know what those 'forest service' C130's were ferrying back into the US, dontcha?
I work with someone who was very involved in the congressional hearings into all that....and now we're going too far off topic.
I STILL want that MiG29 that was on Ebay!
