Same weight as stock? is this typical for aftermarket slip on types for the R1200S?

No I dont believe so I think there are some weight saving gains in some other brands not sure which .Akrapovic , Laser ,Remus ,Two brothers are some of the main ones I can weigh the original can if you want the actual weight so as youve got a benchmark to go from.
I love the look of the Zard and with respect to weight Im more than happy with the grunt of the R12s and unless i was going racing the weight wasnt a issue .

From my notes when I installed the Remus headers....I still have the stock cans.
"9Mar07. 1150 miles. Received Remus headers which weigh 6 lbs. Stock weighs 10lbs. (Stock muffler with license plate bracket weighs 14 lbs.)"

nice. thanks. i'm trying to decide what bike to get next. since killing my S way back in 04 i've been kinda wanting to go with the 1200S but after last weeks bomb through canada the 1200RT seems to be calling my name. AH! decisions decisions. BUT THIS IS WAY OFF TOPIC!! MODERATOR!!!
