Dave Mungenast's Classic Motorcycles Museum

Some ridings Buddies and me are planning a day trip to Dave Mungenast's Classic Motorcycles Museum in St. Louis on 30JUN2007 (Saturday).

http://www.classicmotorcyclesllc.com/

We plan to leave from the Citgo Gas Station near Jonah's Seafood Restaurant in East Peoria, IL (just up the road north a ways from the Riverboat Casino) at 5:00AM. We want to get a jump on the "heat of the day".

From there we'll head over to Hannibal, MO for some Mom n'Pops Breakfast ~8:00AM. We'll stay off the Slab to enjoy the lesser traveled roads between Peoria and the mighty Mississippi River.

After Breakfast we'll proceed onto the "always great and lightly traveled" Missouri Lettered roads. There's a nice curvy, hilly ridge road (Old Highway 79 / Fulton Ave) that leaves from the southeast side of Hannibal. We'll use that and many other Lettered roads to work our way down to-wards St. Louis to the Museum.

Afterwards we'll stop for Lunch, and depending on afternoon temps, we may hit the Slab to head home to minimize dwell time in the midday heat. If it's cool enough we'll check the maps and decide for a more interesting route.

If you can join us please let me know.

Had 7 riders for this trip to STL...~540 Miles and lots of curvy/hilly Missouri tarmac south of Hannibal.

Mungenast Museum is absolutely free...compliments of the Mungenast Family...not even a donation required.

Iron form England, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Germany, USA, Japan. etc...even an old Jag Convertable with a V-12 under the hood.

It's an old building that lends an air of the Vintage-ness.
