Weird paint job on a S

Looking at ebay and came across this paint job on a R1100S for sale... Its the paint where you look at it in different directions and it turns colours.

Well the link isn't working. So go to ebay.com type in "R1100S" and look. Its like the 5th one down from the bottom... :)

That is the same light-sensitive PPG paint that was used on Rodney Forbes's V8 Supercar a few years ago. It shows red to blue to purple, depending on the angle of the light. The paint is real expensive but pretty cool.

....It's called Iridescent!

...years ago, Fasson (a french vinyl manufacturer) made a vinyl for Sign/Car applications that had the same effect with different base colors... ended up being to expensive and nobody bought it (but me, it seems).

Was great for cool special effects...

Lots of different names depending on the paint company. Glasurit refers to it as color shift & my 907ie is painted a version called Ocean. Same technology as you see on the newer $10 & $20 dollar bills. Last time I used it cost was approx $2400 a gallon but I was able to do a complete bike with less then a pint.

I particularly like the rear luggage variation on the stunter shag carpet theme.

I thought he left his dirty laundry in the tail bag a little too long and it was growing....

That type paint or an inferior copy is pretty common on Harleys.

Doesn't do much for me.

I like the way the blue and purple hues accentuate the black and silver of the bike... not to fond of the orange hue though. You wouldnt see it on my bike though.

Most of you guys have seen this pic before but what the hell at least its appropriate for this thread. The "Ocean" color changes from various shades of light/dark blue and green without any odd colors popping out.
