Painted fenders?

I was checking out my BCR the other day, and as much as I love carbon fiber, I realized that the front fender and rear hugger would look cool if they were painted Alpine white to match the rest of the bike. I think RooLoo painted his rear hugger, but he did it black, which doesn't give much contrast with the wheels. Almost all the motoGP bikes have color matched huggers. Any thoughts?

The Carbon does blend well with the tires though...OTOH if your looking for contrast Alpinweiss would surely do it.

I'd just paint a white stripe on the front fender, maybe with two smaller blue stripes on side. Something like this

- Sorry, there should have been a picture of a Ducati fender here -

but with the smaller stripes blue instead of white, and the rest "natural carbon look".

WOW thanks for the photoshop. I was thinking of going the other way with blue fenders on my BCR, so the visual via your posting is a great help. I'm think of leaving a small amount of carbon fiber showing, via a strip/checks or logo on both fenders.

Or maybe mixed colored fenders like the '05 BCR's mixed colored wheels?

…yep ; had the hugger painted in egg gloss black…
…because I don’t have any CF parts on the 12 (and I keep it that way), a CF hugger was a 5th color, and just a bit too much…
...and the contrast : it is still there. Egg gloss against the high gloss black wheels...

…I asked a few people for advice ; and all came with the same egg gloss black idea…

…on your bike I would leave the CF hugger as it is, because it matches the other CF parts…
…I would only have the front fender painted in blue…

…like this…

…and white, with a blue stripe looks like this…

...or...

...perhaps try rim stripes ; just for adding an extra color...
...in my BCR days, I found the bike just too blue and white...
...with the red stripes it looked a lot better...(IMO)

i was thinking the white would look best, but after checking out the photojobs and the pic RooLoo posted I think the blue on the front looks fabulous. I will probably start with that, and then decide on the rear. thanks guys!
