OT: Where to rent BMW in Phoenix?

I'm going to be in Phoenix on business this week and will be extending my stay through Sunday so I can check out Sedona and Red Rock. Does anyone know of a place where I can rent a R12S or R12GS? Would it be wiser to rent a liquid cooled bike?

Route recommendations would be appreciated too

Here one place: http://www.azride.com/

The bike will be fine temp-wise; you on the other hand?

To get to Sedona, I'd head to Wickenburg and take 89 to Prescott then Jerome then Sedona. Some portions of that route are outstanding.

It is likely to be stupid hot leaving PHX and the monsoons are kicking up so rain is possible (and intense rain at that).

Thanks so much Bob.

I contacted AZ Ride and they were able to get me on a R1200GS. Monica was great to deal with and very thorough with the walk through. The bike was immaculate and ran perfectly. She and a few co-workers agreed with your recommendation to take 89/89A to Prescott, Jerome and then Sedona. I wound up taking 179 south to 17 on the way back because I was short on time. The cross winds on the way back were brutal. Regarding the heat, the bike was fine, it was 5 notches on the temp gauge in temps ranging from 90-110. They told me the bike was on synthetic. It had 16k miles when I picked it up.

The R12GS seemed much smoother than my R11S. It made me wonder if my bike is out of tune or if the R12GS has some sort of counter balancer. Handling, I'd say the R12GS is easier to maneuver at low speeds and the R11S wins hands down on highway and twisties.

Overall, it was a great day, I put 362 miles on the bike. Thanks again for your help.
