Quite a bit of fabrication indeed, but all those exposed gears & belts ought to be good for a few missing fingers & toes...

...my HD is one of the most reliable bikes I've ever had... tires and the odd oil change... that's about it... well, 'xept for welding the armature holder together every 5000 miles or so... but, after reinforcing that, all is well... VERY WELL!
You don't fiddle with them, they don't break down anymore...'dem days are long gone... or maybe back again, but I am happy with mine!
