XPLOR Bonneville from September 2-6th
Andy Sills will race a turbo-charged K 1200 S that he hopes will reach 220 mph. Of the 400 XPLOR riders able to participate at this event, the first 200 XPLOR riders to sign up and attend will also have the opportunity to “Run What-cha Brung” and race their own personal bikes on the salt just like Andy.

San Jose will have their '78 R100RS there as well, shooting for 170 this year, they might also have their R1200S "Da Bomb" bike also.

Do you just show up and watch?
Or is it a race track that needs tickets? How does Bonneville work? Excuse my ignorance.

I'm signed up.......After meeting Andy Sills here in Vegas it seems like a truly unique event that one should attend at least once. I am itching to do the ride what ya brung thing too....how often (and how many people) can say "yeah, I did a speed run at Bonneville"? How cool would that be.....
I just gotta figger out how to get myself, my gear, the bike and all my photo stuff up there....just not enough room in the sidebags me thinks. Brock

Just to be clear, this is the BUB Motorcycle speed trials Sept 2-6 on the Bonneville Salt flats.
This is the motorcycle only meet, just recieved my posters in the mail today, there is a pic of Willie Hodgson, Chris's son, on his record setting '78 R100RS right there, kind of cool. The bike will be better and faster this year. Chris hard at work. ![]()
