R1100S dyno results
A guy from BARF has a mobile dyno setup, so I put the ol' donkey on it.
Here is Chet running it on the dyno http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...y029Medium.jpg And the results http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00R3Medium.jpg I was told it's running very lean, as evidenced by the popping on closed throttle. I really don't have the money or drive to go and get a chip+tune for it, so I'm just going to make sure the air filter's clean, valves are properly set, and maybe throw in a set of iridium plugs. |
Isn't the power peak at 7500? It appears they ended the run at 7K - you probably have 3 or 4 more ponies to go. Which puts you at about 80 which is 5-10 less than most stock R1100S bikes, which means that if the dyno is reasonably accurate, you've got something slightly off-song, although not by a whole lot. Good looking torque curve.

Actually you are only about 4 - 5 HP down. You should be getting around 80 - 82 at 7000 RPMs.

I'm with the Dr. on this one. Accurate dyno should show about 80hp at 7k and about 5 more at peak.

what should the dyno horsepower be on a dual spark R1100S? Any different than the single spark?
