Dumb question: Signal relay location for installing signalMinder?

Hi,

I pulled the fairings off my bike yesterday - I was wondering which relay (specifically) in which relay housing is the turn signal relay. The Clymer manual isn't particularly informative in this regard.

I think it's the big black one in the left side relay casing, but I'm not 100% sure. That is, I think it's black box to the left of the yellow/light green plugs/just below the fork in this picture

Are there any tricks to pulling it out; that is, should I pull the relay box and attack it from the bottom, or is there enough wire slack to pull the relay out, detach it, and install the Signal Minder?

... or, is that not the relay I'm looking for?

I installed my last weekend. The directions (almost worthless) state the box is either a BMW or Delphi. Mine said Delphi on the side. Go ahead and pull the black box out, plenty of wire to work with. Open the cam lock and pull the plug out and then plug into the new signal minder. The signal minder is too big to get the top of the cover all the way back on so I got three tabs closed and used tape to seal the cover on.
I've got my running lights set to the brighter level - it's cool. It does mean your signal indicator lights on the dash are on but I'm getting used to it.

mrbroek, a little electrical tape will cure your problem with the lights on. Works for flashing abs lights, too.

Installation was just like you said; down to the 3-clips working & tape to seal.

I didn't have a whole lot of slack in the wiring, so I had to release the latch with a finger and move the slider w/ the tip of a small screwdriver, but aside from that, it was a snap.

Now - I need to order the clear tail lenses (unless someone knows where to get red ones) and order red flasher bulbs so that I can be street legal
