Check with CCS
http://www.ccsracing.us/venues/barber.html You should be able to buy your own gate pass. Or if you want to really help, sign up to corner work. Last edited by 5axis; 08-09-2007 at 11:57 AM.. |

lol, it's wide open, I told them their web info is way out of wack and may lose ticket sales due to it....
Once ta the track your gate fee allows you to come right down to the paddock and be a part of our BMW team/family! Tell them at registration/credentials your here with me. Take care! N8! |

Thanks Nate! I am seriously considering bringing my 6 year old son to Barber this weekend. He loves anything with an engine attached to it.

Just getting ready to turn in. The track temp (asphalt) was 140 today and it hit 104 degrees today too.
101 tomorrow and 100 for Sunday they say. The tires were pretty squirelly today. For every 10 degress in aor temp rise, the tires grow about 1.2 lbs. Constantly monitoring them. Either than that, going good today and I look forward to the races tomorrow. Stop by whenever any of you can, we will have shade, fans, and drinks....! Take care, N8! |

Thanks man! It was a fun day. Most fun was Middleweight GP (600 class) as it was just a good battle 2nd through 5th. Got the short end of the deal as we went 4 wide into a turn.... lol these guys were laying it all out as I was cruising loking for a decent way by, but not willing to punt somone. Not an important race. Settled for 5th (started 24th) in the 5 lap sprint. Supertwins was a good 8 second win. Not as much fun though as the battle in the 600 class. Thunderbike (CCS) made just a brainfart as I had a 3 second lead comforatbly, I remembered last season when Estok stayed out front and I really wnated to get a plan on for the Natl. race tomorrow. So I did, I di it and Im an idiot, lol. I waved him by on the brakes. Just kep thim within a bike length or two to see where he may be stroner. The nature of barbers loves short wheelbases due to a few really tight turns. No big deal, had the motor, just knew the drive was there onto the front. Each lap he looked back an gave it some more.... finally last lap he chopped throttle mid corner, lol, it worked, I got on the binders and ran wide to not hit him..... once under control I could just laugh, cause it's my own damn fault thinking I could learn a little something that could make me better tomorrow... yeah I learned to check out and go!

Nice job, N8! Looks like you and Estok put on quite the show.
Sat 1st SuperTwins 2nd CCS Thunderbike 5th Middleweight Grand Prix Sun 1st CCS Thunderbike (2nd-Estok) 2nd ASRA Thunderbike (1st-Estok) Next week, I believe you're going to show quite a few west coast folks that Parriott's not the only fast man on a BMW. Have fun!

Just spoke with Nate, and yes, it was quite a show today! He finished a close second in the ASRA Thunderbikes race, but later in the day, he went back out there in the CCS Thunderbikes race and blew everyone away (including the guy he got 2nd to in the earlier race). He was very happy with the results, especially considering the extreme temperatures (103 degrees or so!).
He's very excited about next weekend, and he's looking forward to meeting all his west coast fans! He's leaving Atlanta Wednesday night, and will be there thru the weekend.
