OK ladies:

The mule is packed, the powder is dry and the jerky is hot ...

I'm ride'n 395 all the way up. Just so I can say I've done THAT.

I am three days away from Spokane. I'd like to meet someone on or about:

03July2008

in or around:

Kettle Falls

What say you?

Hey,

I would be honored to meet you there, or some where along the way. I live in Rockford which is about 20 miles south of Spokane.

Exciting, the cowl is getting so close! How are we getting it west Bill? I'd be happy to meet somewhere in the middle'ish, like Republic or Grand Coulee or something. Then hand it off to JonyRR somewheres.

JD, you'll have to take it to the local Bellyham pub for a pic and a brew.

If you see a short bald headed dude riding a red and battered R100S, his name is "Special Ed"...

Send him my regards...

Still no word from Mr. shiney. I PM'ed him my cell number.

I am leaving the 3rd-7th open because he did say Kettle Falls the 3rd.

I would like to ride the North Cascade HY and meet whoever can from the wet side of the mountains, anywhere along the way. Is that doable for any of you guys?

I'm pumped, locked and loaded.

Hey guys-

Sorry for the delay ... the sheet has been a fly'n around here ...
Since most of it has already hit the fan and I have taken a shower ...

let's ride!

Here's the challenge-
I do not carry a cell phone so I will have to stop and call from a pay phone.
Unless we can arrange to meet somewhere/sometime...

Once I leave there is no way to know where I am 'til you see the whites of my eyes. (my wife hates this)

I am leaving Sunday, will camp somewhere in Oregon Sunday night, ride my a$$ off Monday, cross the Gorge at either The Dalles or Maryhill, then camp at Maryhill SP on the River.

I will listen to everyone's advise on direction from there. My only objective is to ride Grand Coule then try to hit British Columbia somewhere East of Midway. (I am riding East to Alberta)

Remember: I DO NOT HAVE A CELL but I know we can do this!

Shiney,

I got nothing but a drivers license so they won't be letting me across the border. If you wanted to do the north cascade hwy to the other side of Washington state I can do that with you. Or if you need to go into Canada I can ride with you to the border.

Be careful and have fun!

Just north of Maryhill is Goldendale. A road runs from Goldendale E/NE through Horse Heaven Hills to Bickleton then comes out again in Mabton. Great ride.

Herb, (Mr. Shiney)

Could we meet in Omak on July 3rd or 4th?

Jony,
would the 3 or 4th work for you? You wouldn't need to come all the way to Omak unless you wanted to. We could meet somewhere on Hwy 20.

It's going to take a little effort to make this work out.

Bill

Problem is ... I will be in Alberta/Montana on the 4th.

I could hang around JonyRR's house for a few days ...

stink up the couch, eat all the potato chips, wear out the remote ... you know ...

... or ...

stop by JonyRR's work, whatever, have a few laughs, pass the Baton ...

... or ...

meet Bill somewhere Mid-State, have a few laughs, have lunch, pass the Baton ...

... or ...

meet RBMann somewhere Mid-State, have a few laughs, have lunch, pass the Baton ...

... or ...

(the best) meet EVERYONE somewhere Mid-State, have a LOT of laughs, get thrown out of every bar in town, fix some woman's Porsche, win every fist-fight except the last one, talk our way out of jail, win some Breakfast Bar-B-Que contest, fix the bridge at the Tacoma Narrows, then pass the Baton ...

... either way ... the Baton leaves California June 29.

It will be in Washington on July 1.

I would love to hang around a few days, but once the State Troopers get word that I'm in town ...

... I'll be twist'n grip ...

Shiney,

Where will you be on June 30th? Is that the day you will be at Maryhill?

That will be the day we have to meet. Cause the 1st and 2nd are out for me.

Give me a place and aprox. time and I will meet you wherever and then pass it on to Jony on the 4th.

You guys need to get that cowl closer to Illinois. As a good friend of shannons I would be happy to get involved and it gives me an excuse to take the K1200S out.
