It's Atlanta that's the problem. There's Georgia.....and then there's Atlanta. The two ain't the same.

IIRC I am paying under $300 a year for full coverage, w/$1000 deductible and increased bodily. That's for Cherokee county though, not Cobb and it matters if you own your residence, have a garage and the bike is housed at the residence, driving record, age, marital status, etc. It pays to shop around, other companies would quote me twice what I'm paying.

I'm with a military company but I have heard that Progressive is the least expensive. It doesn't pay to own a new machine imho. Shop around and tell them you are. Bob's right about Atlanta. You're a target there.

Yeah, I can't believe I commuted on my RT for years from Marietta to Paces Ferry. I don't miss it. The road warrior and Nascar is so true LOL, I almost pee'd myself on that one. Too funny.

Any of You guys have any plans for the weekend, thinking about doing a group ride some where on Saturday or Sunday of the Columbus day weekend? Would like to meet some of the Pelican Georgia members

Tom,
A couple of us Pelicans will be in Hiawassee for the Ducks Fly South weekend. Come up to the Chatuga Ramada Inn in Hiawassee if you wanna ride with us or you can call me on my cell. I think you have that number. We'll be on Ducati's though.

It wasn't bad as I road the RT, had a white helmet and a High Vis vest, a lot folks thought I was a cop. I lived in Marietta and came down Atlanta Road, but I have ridden I75 when I lived in Kennesaw, didn't like that much.

I like my commute better now, mileage is the same at 10 miles each way, but it only takes 10 to 15 minutes instead of 40-60 minutes.
