OT- Maintenance Spreadsheet for R1100S

As the miles have been accumulating I find a need to quickly keep track of the maintenance of my R1100S:

Fancy! I still keep my log the old fashioned way, pen and paper.

<date> <odo> <activities> <part #'s and brands of parts replaced>

However you do it, keeping a good log makes life so much easier. You never have to guess what you have done or when and when you have maintenance coming up again.

Nice looking spread. Do you feel like sharing? I'd use a copy.

jduke 10-29-2007 05:33 AM

Yeah, I'd like a copy too.

Dave Beckett 10-29-2007 10:11 AM

That's nice - I had thought of doing one everytime I tried to figure out my mess of records but that looks better than I had in mind - can you post it?

cyotee01 10-29-2007 11:00 AM

Cool. Can I get a copy please?

R111S 10-29-2007 05:04 PM

Sorry I can't post it...send a PM if you want me to E-Mail a copy to you.

I would like a pocket protector.... You got an old one... equipped with lots of pens and stuff that looks well worn.... :D

pwillikers 10-29-2007 05:45 PM

That's funny Billy, really funny.

pwillikers 10-29-2007 05:54 PM

Hey, that's a Microsoft Works spreadsheet. Unless you use that, you're SOL.

Well yes but...can Mr. Gadget really make use of such primitive stuff? :^)...By the way, photo taken at FL2007.

EZ-RIDER 10-30-2007 04:26 PM

well where's the spread sheet

throttlemeister 10-30-2007 09:50 PM

Just make one yourself. It's not like excel spreadsheet like this is rocket science. :)

jduke 10-31-2007 04:55 AM

No, it's closer to brain surgery.....

signit98 10-31-2007 07:26 AM

...more like Rocket Surgery! You guys have way to much time on your hands... Dan, I am surprised that you did not enter the yards and inches at which the service happened as well! ;)

What ever happened to the good old computer in your noggins?... I memorize a general number... did a major service this weekend (oil and all)... and all will be well for at least 5K miles or until the bugger starts running rough (at which time I'll do a TB sync).

Tires?... they'll get replaced when they are worn!

jduke 10-31-2007 08:09 AM

Ralf, your newness to BMW's is very apparent. Anytime you can get something, anything for FREE you make sure you get on the list.
Whew, breaking you rookies in can be tiresome.......

signit98 10-31-2007 08:23 AM

LMAO.... that would be valid for almost everything in life, I guess.... and, BMW does not give you ANYTHING for free... so I guess one would have to try this ANYWHERE else???

That was funny...

Have any of you considered the pursuit of Freeganism?

:)

...interesting concept... they are just missing the simple fact that - without the materialistic world - they would be starving and be extinct in no time...

People are funny sometimes... very few find a nice balance!
