thanks - some good reading in there
i'm off down to the shops on the bike which is a 25km return trip of twisties (open country) and i am going to try NOT using my brakes and only using a couple of gears - just to see how it goes ![]() will report results... |

only used the brakes once out on the open road at a stop sign, stayed in 4 and 5th mostly at 80 - 120kph
found i had more time to be where i wanted to be and plenty of opportunity to get on the gas earlier coming out of the corners whereas i normally have to just hold the speed i have started with and hope it was right bloody good that 3rd hyperlink that'll be my no braking ride from now on cheers pdonnell ![]() |

Yea, that no braking excercise really puckered my O-ring around Laguna Seca. Specifically the corkscrew where you hit the crest and drop the bike over to enter the screw. yeeeehawww....
