Pannier instructions

Does anyone have the instructions to install the mounts for the rear bags on the r1200s. Mine came without them. Thanks

I do. PM me your address and I'll send you a copy....it's in the maintenance DVD. But it's really pretty straightforward wrenching so just take the rear tupper ware off and go to it. The only thing you need to know that isn't mentioned is clean the lock tite off the bolts. You cannot use the stuff that comes with the kit as it's already too hard so they can strip the nuts that are press fit into the frame. So clean the bolts and use new fresh blue locktight and bolt 'em in before it hardens. I found out the hard way and my dealer was kind enough to bail me out. Yours may not.

What color is your bike? I powdercoated my bolts gloss black before they went on and it really helps to hide them.

Thanks for the tip. I finally figured it out. Not crazy about drilling the body work though.

I don't even think about it. There's so many things on bikes that compromise aesthetics for function, anyway.
