New to the forum and new to bmw as well. I recently purchased a brand new 07 r1200s in black.
![]() Full ohlines and the wide rear. I have about 3k on the odomiter now. I also did my first track day with her last sunday, all I can say is wow!!!! The bike is everything I thought it would be and then some. I think it is the perfect mix of performance, comfort and style. I have been enjoying this forum for a few day's and just wanted to intoduce myself. Matt123

Welcome to the board Matt. You picked a great bike to get into BMW's with... What type of bikes have you been riding before this one?

You certainly pick a great example of BMW's twin as your starter.

Geez Matt you've got it out on the track already too, good for you and thanks for the pic, that's all I got right now is pics to keep me going. I just joined PP myself. It also didn't hurt to hear how pleased you are with it. That's what I'm banking on, in more ways than one! |

Matt.....whatta great way to start your membership on this forum with a new bike and a pic. We like pics, so don't be shy. For you and other new guys to the forum we like to see where you're from, so if you don't mind please post your location in the side bar. Not my official capacity in any way to ask this...I'm just a curious ole goat.....or is it donkey. I forget....afraid to look in the mirror to find out.
Anyway welcome aboard.

Matt, kudos for bringing it to the track, I can bring myself to do that yet with an irrational fear that i will somehow thrash it there.
Laser, wow, that's whatI call blacked out! you went all the way, beautiful! Now regarding name and location, I'm just not entirely convinced yet that there is no one on this board who will be heading in my direction with a shotgun, wearing diapers

Laser, thanks for the pic! the bike I'm waiting on will also have blk wheels on black body parts. Where do find the rear cf hugger and cf head caps? (price list).
Dang, for short time I wondered how BMW strayed from function to form regarding no stock rear hugger...ah but then the sun came up, it dawned on me, the light came on; there ain't no stint'in chain drive on the mudder. Forgive me? for I just came off the chain gang (Ducati ST3). But still the tyre is going to p/u debris and toss it up to exhaust system no? |

nice purchase! best bike ever made! here's a pic of my baby. we're total couch potatoes - but on occasion, we've managed to go get milk in some cool places - the arctic circle, the himalayas, the black sea, europe, etc.
happy riding!
