Noob question re: fairing bits
Sorry to ask this guys, but how does one completely undress the R1100S?
I removed the side panels to gain access to and remove the canister. When I want to get the front and tank bits off, which I certainly will eventually, what's the process. It's not very intuitive. Thanks a million for any assistance. tom |
if it doesn't seem intuitive, that's because it's not.
there are two hidden allen screws on each side, one directly under the front of the fairing nose in a recessed pocket and one almost directly inside of the roundel area. use a short allen for the roundel area and a long one for the fairing nose. BTW, Palouse Falls State Park is a fave out-of-the-way destination of mine, as is hanging rock and stonehenge. |
Thanks JRR
Yes, Palouse Falls is one of my favorite day rides. I'm, oh, 100 mi. or so from there. Steptoe Butte just south of me is also a great place to visit, as is Kamiak Butte State Park down near Pullman.
Let me know the next time you come this direction (uh, not now...), we can meet up. tom |
