...Yamaha...
...Kawasaki...
...Suzuki...

...man ; this could be anything...

...but since there is this Motorrad-dude on the bike, maybe it's a BMW indeed...

...does it come with heated grips BTW...?? :)

Fenring 02-15-2008 12:36 AM

Interesting (cause it looks like a superbike) and boring (casue it looks like a superbike) at the same time.

shreddr 02-15-2008 02:26 AM

Text (German):
BMW schafft innovative Technik. Fotografisch.

I realize there are some other places out there in the world, but generally speaking most people respect the majority and SPEAK ENGLISH AROUND HERE!!
Now, how about using bagelfish or whatever it's called and post something I can read??

Those are Ohlins Superbike forks. No Japanese company is running those. Aprilia ran a R&T derivative on its RSV-R and the D16RR has its own version of Superbike forks but nothing Japanese runs those (R1LE had R&T). Also the Japanese have released the latest gen superbikes already.

Wel I'm glad I started saving already. Superbike forks are expensive. :D

Sorry JDuke, but I speak english, german, dutch and understand a little spanish, french and italian. there is more than English you know? And throwing that text in Babelfish isn't that difficult is it?
"BMW creates innovative technology. The new super-athletes, for the first time without camouflage dress was caught, put the Bavarians on Conventional - and make the Normal exceptional. Given the scrip on MOTORCYCLE Juergen Fuchs' leather suit although no one will believe, but it's true nonetheless: We did not know that. Neither that the new BMW superstar athletes just weeks before one-and-a-show of this issue still go where it would. He also made only after a statement: "I say nothing." And sports photographer Frederick way, regularly visits the preseason tests of the racing teams, it would have hardly noticed. If not for the light machine lid with BMW lettering been, it would have the carbon dressed in black motorcycle, as on the route in the southern Cartagena turned his rounds, for a Yamaha YZF-R1. Thus but he draufgehalten. Graphically photo."
BTW the majority speaks Chinese I guess ;)

jduke 02-15-2008 04:48 AM

Majority speak Chinese?? Not around south Georgia....USA Georgia for you international types.
Got to remember, there's more the this ole world than the US of A.
=:-}

I saw this picture in MOTORRAD in a bigger version and on the crankcase cover one could read BMW so it's the real thing :)

Well Hugo, I'm curious where this whole thing is heading.

I mean, are plans around for some "HP-3-S" civilian variant (whatever this means). And above all : does really BMW needs this kind of image-maker in order to shift more bikes? Or does this means that the K series is under a major rethinking? (had a K12R for a short period > too much of everything - complexity/power/weight/Jap "mentality"/be Valentino now! > no thanks)

jduke 02-18-2008 10:30 AM

Won't be an HP3, they've already announced this bike is an I4 so it might be the beginnings of an HP4S. Which would make sense. Small, lightweight I4, not for me, but still sweet. BMW is doing a lot of things to broaden their image to potential riders.
