Anything from Foster on the "Modulator"
Has anyone heard anything on the "Modulator" that Robert said would be out the middle of this month?

Greetings Frank,
Yes they are finally on their way from Italy. This is a good Plug n Play solution to the fueling gaps on stock bikes thru modified ones. (Air Filter and Full exhaust systems) Not nearly as precise as the RapidBike #3 but a good solution and price point combined with the lack of lean burn hazards and no dyno time necessary. More later.

How different is it from the O2 sensor unit offered by Evoluzione Cyclesport?

that unit replaces the O2 sensor, the one Foster showed a picture of became part of the fuel injector signal.

Greetings Volo,
Good Question. I respect Ken Zeller's work. He is a fellow tuner and he creates some nice stuff. Our Microprocessor uses the o2 sensors and constantly monitors the lambda signal and reports to the ECU the necessary signal to modify the fuel and ignition mapping based on load and RPM. Rather unique in its design as the circuitry is active and it is plug n play. No dyno necessary.

So, who's going to be the master beta tester? If there was a money-back satisfaction guarantee, I'd be happy to try one out. But I probably won't have good weather here until April or May.
Robert, do you think much will show up on a dyno, or will it be more in driveability?

Robert I am definitely almost starting to think about putting one of these into my contingency financial plan maybe but have the same question Steve has. So....huh?

Robert- I'd like to try out this module if you will provide a money-back guarantee. In addition, I'll have the bike dyno-tested and post the results before and after, showing results at 50%, 75%, and full throttle as an indicator of driveability. I'll try and get this done ASAP, weather-permitting. What do you say?

someone correct where my logic is faulty..the O2 sensor monitors what is coming out of the exhaust and feeds back a signal to the ECU which in combination with the throttle butterfly position decides what the fuel injector is gonna do. I don't recall there being any feedback signal from the injectors to the ECU. If this is correct, then the O2 sensor plug and play unit, would more than likely send an ultra lean signal to the ECU which in turn would send a richer signal to the injectors. The only thing the fuel injector module could possibly do is modify the incoming signal to make it fatter. It would have to be a straight algorithim. Seems like the O2 unit would be the way to go, that or one of the boxes that has an adjustability to it, and feedback to the ECU. so where am i wrong?

Greetings,
Sure you can or automatically adjust the Lambda signal to statically alter the injector dwell. Well that is just an old trick. This is new cutting edge technology that I stumbled upon working on a Ducati E3 ECU development. It is just a well programmed microprocessor. It senses two things and delivers two things completely factored for that particular RPM and Load. It will meet the engines needs and assure the owner that his modded bike will not only perform better and cooler... It will not have those carburation gaps that everyone is complaining about and also not run too lean. I saw a Plug n Play need when people backed away from changing an eprom in a motronic and really when the K1200X bikes came out. This is just as sweet on a K bike as it is on a G650 X-Country! This works good on a Stock or Modded BMW as well >>>with a nice linear gain. We have over 2 years into this and over 89,000 miles of testing including 50 hours on the dyno and more tomorrow. Superman it is not and more power can be had out of a more adjustable Rapid bike #3. But: Plug N Play for $390.00 BB price. They list for $499.00! I have 4 microprocessors that cover all the current and past BMW models since the R850XX thru the HP-Sport they will release them March 15-25th, 2008. HOPEFULLY! Priduct Liability Insurance approval and a copy preventor file are all that are missing. Of course we do not sell these in California! It is intended for use on a a race bike piloted by a professional on a closed racing course. It is not ment for use on public roads and where the state or federal govermant or any govermental body deem it illegal with relation to emmission regulations or any other Clean Air Act. They are onlly legal in Nepal. Any misuse is at the liability of the purchaser. Consider this informed consent. Oh, we designed it to be well hidden so no one steals it! ![]() Never let your daughter date anyone that has one!

Robert, what sort of return policy do you have? See my post above.

Greetings,
Would you return it if your jeans told you it worked?? Funny late night humor. Sorry ![]() ![]() I always stand behind my products. I have many in the field...the owners would not part with them. They will not return my beta versions in exchange for the production unit >>which is better.

Oh, I'd keep it if my jeans liked it. For sure. I'd only want to return it if there was no seat-of-the-pants improvement or significant dyno improvement. I know the dyno doesn't say much about driveability, but those multiple printouts are intended to get an indication of it.
So, I'll call you and order one!

well that clears it up, Robert you missed your calling in politics. I stand by my original assesment. RPM and load are sensed by the ECU already I am guessing this thing either extneds the duration of the injector pulse, or increases the hertz. I'm sure it must be of some performance benefit, but it's not rocket science or new.
