Blade Runner (MilleDue)

Well friends,

Just saw that thing - Aprilia MilleDue- in reality (Athens Moto Show) ...and ...well...you know.

Epitomizes the Blade Runner aesthetics (K12R, Brutale, B-King, various other Jap pointless clones etc etc) in the best possible way - yet.

Mr Galluzzi (Ducati Monster) in full song. Spot the girder front (like CM Wraith).

He He

oooh... prety

Is that some kind of telelever front suspension? V2 or V4?

I'm not too fond of the look/position of the cooler. Look as if it was hastily glued on with duct tape in the last minute.

I don't think it's a girder doesn't seem to have a headstock), but a Hossack-style front suspension making it similar to the K1200S/R suspension

Exposed oil hoses to the radiator are pretty, but really stupid. Pull that up to a biker bar in Anywhere USA and the H-D heads would all be looking for the flux capacitor!

That's the problem with water coolers, they just don't leave room for the oil heat exchanger. lol

AFAIK, no Hossack thing...but not a Wraith clone either. See Wraith (modeled in a crisis of admiration about that incredible thing).

PS: I took plenty of pictures...but that Man (Murphy)...and his Laws...

Exactly the Wrath has a headstock, making it a Girder. The Aprilia doesn't seem to have a headstock but two a-arms with a suspended headstock; it looks very similar to the suspension on "our" bike, the Morlaco: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2406/2006175959_781ed53047_o.jpg

and our suspension is again similar to the Wright-Bailey one

Indeed the MilleDue front looks like the Morlaco (all my pictures gone - Yikes**N).

They called it parallelogram something...
