R1100S bar backs/bar risers

I just read an old thread from 2002 that covered bar riser options for the
R1100S, noting a Wunderlich kit as one option recommended at the time. Someone also mentioned that bars from a K1200RS will fit an R1100S. I wondered if anyone can recommend either risers on todays market or if anyone has used K1200RS bars. I love my 11S as it is but need a better (changeable) touring option. Thanks - Nicoz

You mention a key word ... "changeable." Once I get my bike back in riding condition (see Help needed getting BCR back in shape), I'll install the Convertibars kit I have on the shelf and detail it here. Unfortunately, that's likely to be awhile from now. I did find them to have great customer service so give 'em a call --> www.convertibars.com. Another option is this company which I bookmarked at one time but never contacted --> http://cyclecat.com/BR1-1.htm. Those are the only two options I know of for a "changeable" setup. Good luck!

Rapid's barbacks are a great start for the money but I plunked down on the Wunderlich sportego bar kit, and I have not regretted it. Expensive but well worth it! If you want even more of an upright position, you can use rockster bars to get a bit more.
