Brian came in 2nd just behind Tom. Brian was leading during most of the race, he went wide in the last turn which allowed Tom to duck under for the win.

in pro level racing, the helmet is one of the very few areas left where a rider actually has control.
it's the spot where you can put your personal sponsors. the rest of the bike has stickers mandated by sponsors. most riders can't even sneak a sticker onto a fender, so the helmet is the only place a rider still owns, and they hold onto that small piece of real estate whenever possible.
