Will the HP2 be a Limited Edition or Limited Production Machine?

Ya know, I have a letter from when I bought my 2000 r1100s mandarin/silver sport that says "We will limit production to 200 units."

Then there were the boxercups...

These first bikes are literally hand built/ assembled. I'm not sure you'll see that in later models.

Why? Those workers have to do something, they are after all "specialists" ... They're probably sitting around, drinking coffee or beers, eating German sausages, just waiting... and waiting...

yes, the HP2 Sport will be a limited edition with far less then 200 units for US distribution if I am not mistaken,........however Megamoto production is even less I am pretty sure.

Just took a look at allocation and production schedules, looks like there may be another production run in late August/early Sept for HP2 Sports if enough orders are made and enough materials can be rounded up. Next confirmed production run happens end of June which means we'll see another batch showing up end of August. Currently the number of units per my estimation is just over the 50ish range for US distribution so far to date.

How many megamotos were released?
Are they still pumping em out?
What's different about the Megamoto engine?

MM engine is essentially the RT/ST/R engine as we know it, nothing really special about it other then it's wedged into the HP2 Enduro frame with true SM front forks, dual brakes and Ohlins rear shock with some cool CF treatments on the lights and fender. MM is appearing to have a 100 USA production number so far with no future 08 production slated. Up until a month or so ago less then 50 had been noticed in warehouse allocation inquiries. Not sure of worldwide inquiries, but my hunch is the MM will probably be 2-1 maybe 3-1 production of the HP2 Sport and the original HP2 Enduro had 625 2006's produced worldwide and no 07's for USA, but other markets did see a few 07's.
