Fixing up front shocks.
Im in the process of changing seals/oil in the front forks on my r11s, anyone know how much oil to put back into em? They seem to hold 0.4 litre max if I drain them hanging upside down for a night, but thats alot more than I poured outta them, so im wondering =)

Here is the fork leg spec page from the manual, .17 liters per side. If you are replacing seals due to a leak be sure to replace the dust wipers too. These seals will go for a very long time before they start leaking so the wipers and seals are probably in need of replacement. I'm not sure what weight oil BMW specs out for these fork legs but anything in the 2.5w to 5w range will be good. Only for lube action so you don't want to introduce any drag by going with a higher weight oil. My R1100S is now 10 years old and I have not replaced these seals/wipers yet. Should be soon though I would think.
