Right cylinder sensor = MIA !!!

Well friends

I know that Greece receives (maybe) second "class" Beemers but ...erm...this...goes a bit toooo far > I've just discovered that on my 07 R12S bike the right cylinder temperature sensor (sits "between" throttle body and knock sensor) is ...erm...well... just an empty hole.

Good news > left cylinder has the thing in place.

Moral : I'm working on it.

LOL !!

1.Haynes Service manual R12S electrical diagrams clearly identify TWO sensors.
2.EVERY 12GS here in Greece has TWO sensors as well.

Well isn't this odd?

Ron, there is obviously something wrong with your bike, you better get it down to the dealership ASAP!

Well gentlemen,

I'm gonna sue Motorrad AG (I'm working hard right now to find some decent argument(s)) and I'm gonna earn zillions (how's possible to lose that debate?) from that.

I'm gonna bring Ron's bike to the court (Muzza are you willing to help?) giving the term "hard evidence" a whole new meaning (are bikes allowed to enter the court?).

I'm gonna share with Ron (and Muzza) some decent percentage ...say 0.004% each...for their help.

Moral : Zillions don't go away...wait for me.

He He

Erm...

...That says something like " Oops we did a wrong one" not "sorry, only one available - on the left"

That said (my bike) appears that there's no wiring loom available for that MIA right side sensor.

PS: could be this the reason (different circuit resistance) for my "high" temp problems? (see Non stock exhausts VS hot boxers ). Reason for asking is that Haynes CLEARLY provide a second sensor input on ECU's 20/65 "slot" (Cyl 2, that is)

Just checked mine and it has 2 sensors, one on each side. This is really weird. Can't say why they would leave out a sensor on some bikes and not on the others. Is this somehow related to the manufacturing date?

There are two R12S's at my house right now. Mine has one sensor on the left cylinder and the visitor (an early VIN #) has two. The tiny things we learn hanging around here....huh?

In that case, I might be a cost cutting issue...

After all, the price at the microfiche Rob puled out states $61.05...
