BMW's Hayabusa beater?

Fenring 07-22-2008 02:16 AM

Curious. It's missing a right hand half of the front fork.

Still surprises in the Bavarian brand. Now it is the turn to a new K with a monoarm front suspension. BMW continues to work to fund projects in many developing despite being a superbike, the S RR 1000, to be competitive in the World SBK. In the next room Intermot will continue to present many new features, including a new motorcycle Series K, K S 1300, with new fairing and instrumentation, and endowed with a propellant revised and uploaded to the cylinder capacity of 1,300 cc approximately.

Erm

Appears that Motorrad people they are heading east-south-north-west these days (Holly Profit et all).

Problem is that....well...you need a certain economy of scale to do that....

The other Problem is that...the list of Oops moments (in the past) is quite long (from C1 to CL and from 850 series to previous K's).

Isn't part of the Hossack/Duolever design, that as long as the upright is stiff enough, there is no problem with it being single-sided?

Hopefully it has enough brake stuffed into that wheel. That is the only drawback to a single sided front end... limited ability to mount brake calipers, and only one side of the wheel for a brake disc.

I don't know if that's the only drawback. . .

but it's a big one.

Maybe stacked floating discs to fit more iron for heat dissipation?

Is it considered a bad Photochop if the spokes interfere with the rubber?

Somebody who saw the bike recognized the K1200S engine; apparantly the front suspension is a single sided variant of the duolever system; at the rear it had shaft drive.
