Replacing handle & lock on system case
Has anyone performed this? I found a source for a system case inner with no hardware; no lock mechanism or handle(s). I searched on the interweb & PP but came up empty. I'd appreciate any info!

I have. I bought a couple of cases that were broke at the hings. I took the locks and handles and put them on my old bags. I bought the lock pins from BMW and rekeyed the locks to fit my key. Pay attention when take them off and all you'll need is some 1/4" pop rivets.

The lock tumbler comes out by inserting a rod into the hole next to the tumbler, by the handle. I'll take a look later to see where this access hole is located. I'm not sure about the exact procedure to re-key, but you should be able to just swap tumblers with no prob. IIRC, the key has to be in the tumbler when you insert rod/screwdriver/punch into the hole to release the tumbler.

Thanks guys! I'm going to go ahead with the buy with the assumption I can do this... I have the keys for my locks & will be installing one (hopefully) in a replacement case.
