GMT Moto Leg Rests for R1100S?
Has anyone seen/tried these? On my lunch hour I'll try that seating position, but it doesn't seem like it would be that comfortable for the 'long of leg'.

I agree, they don't look comfortable for a long ride. You're already leaning forward, and then to put your feet up on top of the jugs.

I actually forgot to try getting my feet up there during lunch, so I guess that $75 will just have to stay in my wallet for now...

Anyone with boots and standard riding gear can set their legs up on the jugs of most R (haven't tried it on the Hex Heads that I recall) motors for short periods of silly fatigue fighting time. It's a nice rest, unzipped pant legs let air up when it's hot, and the warm cylinders through your boots are nice when it's cold. Oldest Beemer Trick on the books.
The key word here is, short periods of time. Any time you spend away from the foot controls and your weight distributed like your on a chopper, is that much more critical time it might take to get control of you bike should you need too. Any kind freeway pegs are just cowboy silly

...heh heh, saw those myself last night, kind of a dweebie idea...I lay my twigs out on the cylinders to stretch without them gizmos, but face it, the ergos ain't right for long.
Better to get those Sparky Pegs if you're gonna go with that route. Even those are kinda odd feeling. I'd buy a set for a GS though, just to use for storage or maybe to keep a sammich warm...

Yep, they do look GS-y. The seller claims a rider can stand fully up on the insides of the rest without worry of flex or breakage. If that doesn't speak to a GS rider's mojo, I don't know what does!

On long rides i put my legs on the heads to relax and stretch. This would keep the excessive heat off my pants when riding like that. it does get a little hot through the levis when on the heads themselves.
