Better put on the cut slicks. Not what I'd want for a grand opening. Deja Vu Daytona last spring. It goes on and on, Craig.

Looks like those with rain practice will prevail. Maybe attendees of the GMR should be racing as we have all had lots of rain practice in the past few years

Just looked at the WX Channel. It may be hit or miss; tire selection will be critical.
US Desmo club is there in force, Dan. As you well know Ducks along the Blue Ridge never fails to get lots of rain. Are you signed up for Ducks Fly South? I have that cigar I owe you. |

Hey Bubba. Glad you will be in N. Ga. I plan to ride down Friday morning. I will probably ride one of the Guzzis. I don't know, the Ducati is sure running well too. Look forward to seeing you.

I just looked at the INDY radar and things are looking up. Rossi on the poll and Casey right next door. Hayden sitting at #4. If it's dry this is going to be history.

I'm still watching on the GP feed and the decision is still pending. Hayden did the USA proud. Rossi dodged a big bullet on the white line. Tire selection was the factor.

Looked at Indy radar and it is clear to the SW. They should wait and restart.

Rossi and Stoner don't want to go back out. The drama is continuing on the GP feed.

I don't know about anyone else, but that was the ABSOLUTE worst job of commentating I have ever heard ! Getting riders names wrong on the wrong bikes is inexcusable. MY god, how do they expect to draw in a larger TV audience with that pathetic show? At least 10 seconds of dead air going into the first 2 corners....open mikes on people during the race talking to other people off screen, no interviews with anybody post race except for a lame one with Rossi.

That why I opted for the MotoGP season pass. No commercials warm-up to post podium interviews. Best seat in the hous and I didn't get wet. lol They are interviewing Nicky now. bye.

the woman I am dating is a producer for those guys that make a lot of left turns. She echoed almost every comment you made. One of the reasons NASCAR is so successful from a broadcasting and viewership standpoint ( not speaking of the racing itself - simmer down open wheel and GT fans, im with you ) is they know how to tell the story and get the fans engaged with the personalities of those racing. The big problem here in the US with broadcasting MotoGP, is unless you really follow it, you know nothing about the racers, their teams, history, difficulty of the sport....blah, blah, blah. There was very little, if any back story about Indy, how it got the race, the racers opinion of the facilities, what the difference tire selections will make.....so on, and so on. Motorcycle road racing broadcast coverage in the US just plain sucks.....hate to say it, but they can take a cue from the broadcasting coverage of NFL or NASCAR if they want to make it more engaging. But the race itself sure was exciting with Rossi and Hayden mixing it up, felt bad for Hayden. That would have been awesome had he won. But Rossi proved again why he is such a winning champion. I wish I had even 1/10th of his talent. Robert

I muted the network and watched the HD; but, listend to the MotoGP commentators who do know all the history. I'll have it hooked up to my HD vice the computer LCD for Japan.
No commercial breaks is worth the price of getting the direct feed. |
