oil sight glass popped out

What do I do now? Oil everywhere. Is this an easy fix? Where do I get a new one, I have no idea where the old one went.

Could be a restricted PCV vent hose...Or moisture. but occasionally they have been known to just pop out.

Just curious.... did it pop out while you were underway or possibly during a thorough cleaning?

Garage
I've heard of a half dozen incidents on this board re the sight glass. I spend some time on a few XYZ650 forums and have not heard of any problems (disregarding any rock contact) on a bike that uses a similar method of checking the oil level. Part of the price of the marquee I guess.

Mine was weeping oil for thousands of miles before I replaced it. Do you clean the area with a solvent based detergent? That could weaken the rubber a bit.

Replacemnt is easy , clean the area well and drift the new one in.

Mine blew out on cold start up. Could be more "blow by" when the engine is cold, combine that with an old sight glass and you get this result?

Just pop a new one in and let'er eat.
