Transition from run to idle (R12S)

Well friends

For Nth time (after replacing BOTH VDO idle actuators - under warranty) I'm experiencing bad things with regard run>idle transition.

Motor behaves (occasionally) with an erratic way. That is : a certain reluctance for smooth idle ("hiccups" are the norm), like one or both idle actuators they don't work (again).

This happens with motor cold/warm and with OEM Bosch ECU and/or RapibBike3 in command (ADORI switch module available). Always RON 100 fuel used. Dealer says the usual thing(s) that dealers claim (bike is perfect, blah blah blah).

Any ideas?

I've noticed something similar. Idle is good while the engine is still cold, but after a longer period of running warm, idle gets erratic, allowing engine to dip bellow 1150 rpm, and it takes some time for it to stabilize. This may be annoying at times, but it never occurred to me that this is some kind of malfunction. I think, like many other odd behaviours of this particular engine, it might be a consequence of combination of high compression ratio and less efficient air/oil cooling system.

Well (today > heavy rain > idle > occasionally impossible !!)

As I said, since these ugly idle actuators they (supposedly) take control with regard idle operation...I suspect some malfunction there rather than the compression and/or moving parts tolerance (no water cooling etc etc).

PS: Sticker says VDO, Peter says made in China/Malaysia/Timbuktu...

Problem is that I'm dangerously "close" to an expired warranty (7 months left)...and...well...you can imagine....

Check air temp sensor. Can't remeber if it has one.

The Bible (Haynes) says yes....but by what means can I do it?

Question : since that #$%$@ dealer had(?) checked(?) the ECU/faults/etc shouldn't the Big Brother report a similar sensor failure?

PS: I've just checked NHTSA db...just in case > no similar issue recorded.
