Dumping the HP2S For A Real Man's Bike

Ok, it's not April 1st but my bud cme to the office and I couldn't resist. Actually a very sweet '09 Road Glide, 110 cubes, 6-speed, ABS and is the Screamin' Eagle/Performance center of what I think is HD's best touring bike (fixed fairing).

Of course just joking, but heck, it's 80 degrees and sunny here on this Christmas Eve day and just leaving the office.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

That's a sweet ride. I wouldn't dump my 2S for it either. Just a different way to ride.

For the cost of that thing you could get both a HP2S and a F800GS. Nice looking ride though.

Merry Christmas.

You are dead-on. The MSRP for that bike is about 35 big ones I think. And we grumble about the price of BMW's. Ha!

Big difference is the SE Road Glide will be worth $35k years from now. Riding both BMWs and SE HDs I've always found resale to be much better on SE HDs.
As said before just a different kind of ridin, but any ridin is good.

John, that SE RoadGlide costs a ton more than an HP2S and it weighs a ton more also.

Things bought by the ounce are inherently better than things bought by the ton...

That's the perfect bike for Florida. Never have to drag it around a curve.

We missed the last two years for various reasons, but Sept. there's a big event in the Keys sponsored by a Miami HD (Petersen/son?) called the Key West Poker Run. It's IMO stupid, but something to do; we went a few years in a row. What's dangerous as hell is, and I'm sure not ALL HD/V-twin riders is they will pass in your own lane. I like to not ride the center of the lane, call it old fashioned, oil-slick heaven or just plain ornery, but the only defense in the Keys during this even is ride dead-center. And, even then keep an eye on your mirrors.

Bubba, I thought you were heading to the Keys today?
