fuel delivery problem

I recently acquired a 2001 R1100S and it had been sitting for quite sometime. Prior to starting it I had planned on draining the fuel and putting in fresh fuel. My Dad the previous owner said don't need to do it just run it. Well it ran fine for the weekend and after cycling through that old fuel I put some fresh in and now it boggs out at anything over 3000rpm. Obviously there was some gunk in there and it has now clogged the injectors. Can I just run some injection cleaner after I flush the tank wont that un-coagulate what ever garbage is in there? I just need it running well enough to get it to the dealer for proper servicing.

Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank and run the dog out of it.
Oh, make sure the air filter is clean and no muddubbers built a nest in there.

Probably need to change the fuel filter too. Talk about getting to know your bike "up close and personal"....You might want to read up on doing an external fuel filter.
Valve adjustment, throttle body synch, and new spark plugs would help too.
Don't forget to change all the fluids, especially the clutch fluid.

Inside the gas tank, major pain in the butt. Perfect time to replace the battery if it's giving you any problems at all. While there, replace the air filter, and if you have ABS bleed the system and the ABS pump.

Well I have it up here now and have found out that it has a non abs battery in it. What kind of funny stuff should I expect with that. Also I dont see evidence on the calipers that indicate it is a ABS model what I do get are the ABS lights on initial start up? Is it or is it ABS

...do you have the slotted ring on the front wheel and a sensor on the lower fork leg? Also, a look under the tank will bring you certainty... the ABS pump is a big honker, sitting in front of the airbox, under the tank... if you have a gaping hole between the Brain (the Bike's, that is) and the airbox, you have no ABS...

If you change the fuel filter, you need to run the tank dry... it's also a good idea to convert to external filter setup... do a search, it's easy.

It's a great bike and should not be to hard to make it run well again... the Battery should not be as much of a problem... the ABS bikes had a bigger alternator, though.
