Guess What Arrived Today - Hint, It's TI

My bike came with most of the options and modifications I would want when I bought it - from Zimm on this forum. The one thing I've been anguishing over is a header. I finally pulled the trigger earlier this month on a TI Remus. It showed up (finally! - there's another story about the supplier:( ). Anyway, all's well that ends well. It took about an hour to install. 45 min of that was removing the sticky left from the tape put on to protect it while shipping. At idle, the bike seems louder than before. Close to the way my '04 R1100S with Staintune sounded (which was better than the R12 pre-header). Here are a few pictures. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1233115178.jpg

What did you use to remove the white residue left behind from the tape? I tried several things and still have residual, on my Ti Remus setup, probably baked on good now!

Goo B Gone and steel wool.

...in most cases, Citrus works best for that stuff... there are harsher solutions, especially for removing glue residue, but citrus still works better than most.

Yep, Goo B Gone smells like a truck load of oranges....must be citrus based.

Cool thanks, I will give that a shot. I was amazed at how light the Remus system is! I am sure you will enjoy the header.
