OT: Fuse and Relay Box question Hi All, Since y'all are the most technical bunch I know, who know about things like this..I figured, maybe you can help me out here. I'm looking for a relay/fuse box, automotive/motorcycle grade, to add to my cage. Since it is british, the electrical engineers didnt see it fit, to use relays to power the headlights, so the switch keeps melting from time to time. I've decided to rewire the whole thing, using a new fuse/relay box.. i'm looking for something similar to this... http://www.ultimateproducts.com.au/image003.jpg.jpg This comes as part of a complete wiring harness, but I just need the box. any ideas where I can find one, for a reasonable cost? thank you, -arbi |

...any junkyard, Arbster! Why, if just for the headlights, would you want to implement a whole box, if you re-wired it with a relay/solenoid, it should be fine, no? Also, I thought you want to get rid of that thing? YOU are the one, building the Mars Landing Rover... why ask us mortal folk? |

Ya..I plan to go to U-Pick-a-Part Junkyard..since I figured thats my best bet. As for why a whole box, its because currently, the car has one set of Aux lights, but by the time I'm done with it, it'll have 4 sets of Aux lights, and I want to run my winch control circuit through the box as well...so a box is in order. As for selling the beast, the wife loves this thing, and I have an affinity for it..so I think this thing will probably be around long enough to drive Junior around in it... Mars rover parts are custom made, out of unobtainium, and cost a gabigillion dollars. I dont have those kind of resources... plus, while I may know some things really well about Mars rovers, I know for a fact, I'm but an apprentice compared to the gurus lurking around on this board, when it comes to real world problem solving.....which is why I'm seeking help... -a |

The WIFE?... Did I miss something, Arbi? |
|
no, you havent missed anything... but you know....she's soon to be the wife....at this point, its a formality :) |

What about the place where you got that NASA exhaust? What is this British rig, anyway? The OT forum has a lot more guys on it that might have some ideas for you. |
|
ya...that NASA exhaust was custom fabricated, you just cant buy that kind of quality and form following function... The rig is a beat-to-hell 1995 land rover defender... |
