Arrow Steering Damper

My steering damper is gone, wee-weed its oil all over the front of my engine. A guy in England has this Arrow damper for $160 to fit the R1100S. Anyone know anything about the Arrow?

Any number of similar dampers here for the same or less. Tons of threads on it. Or just peruse the LP catalog.

Roger: Thanks for the tip. I should have searched the forum threads to begin with.

No Prob. Might be a good product. Probably is. Not much crap out there in the performance market anymore. Just saying no use reinventing the wheel. Most guys end up with a linear damper using stock mounting hardware

Turns out that the Arrow damper offer was a scam. I was looking at it from the cost angle, $160 shipping from England. With the mounting hardware, an Arrow is well over $400. Put my name in at Beemer Boneyard for a standard damper.

From what I've heard, the stock ones are spanked out in less than 10K miles. So, I suspect a used one will be useless. There's threads on here showing how you can adapt an Ohlins to fit, which is rebuildable.

I got a new adjustable Hyper-pro off ebay for $100. It was listed for a 98 YZF, but was the correct stroke, I just threw away the YZF brackets. A few 5 minute modifications of the bolt attachment holes and it mounted up no problem. Best of all it is a nice anodized purple color.
