shreddr 02-25-2009 09:02 AM

Ralf has the 8 I would pick, although not necessarily in that order.

IvanTT 02-25-2009 09:07 AM

Hey if we are Gambling....
1. Spies
2. Corser Tied for Second
2. Haga Tied for Second
3. Fabrizio
4. Neukirchner
5.Whom ever it is will have a DNF on the Grid
6. Kagayama
7. Checa
8. Rea

shreddr 02-25-2009 09:15 AM

I actually think Rea is gonna come out swinging early season and will be blazing, but then will crash spectacularly a number of times like Jorge Lorenzo, which should detune him a bit. I predict Spies will ride fast and smart, and will be in WC contention the whole season.

Corser is still learning here's a quote from him after the bird strike.

"The tests went very well, though it's a real shame that I had to finish early because we still had lots more to try out," said Corser after testing. "But I guess I'm lucky that I didn't crash and hurt myself badly when I hit the bird. I'm really not sure how I managed to stay on the bike, because it's not easy when you've only got one hand on the bars, but somehow I was able to recover.

"We have learnt a lot in these two days and I've been able to get a better idea of how the bike works in different conditions and set-ups. What I can say though, is that my S 1000 RR feels as good as any other bike I've ever ridden round here."

1.Haga

2.Fabrizio

3.Spies

4.Bryne

5.Neukirchner

If it had been the old 1 lap superpole i'd have put Corser in but it ain't,and even with him on it i'm not sure the bike is good enough for him to hussle it round, and certainley not in the race, not this early in the year.

Chris, you're weighting the 1098R very high aren't you.

signit98 02-25-2009 10:51 AM

He does because it's an 1198R, Bubba...

Does SBK have a live feed like Moto GP. I don't care for the broadcast stuff with all of the commercials. All I can find is that it's on the Speed Channel Sunday at 4 PM EST.

signit98 02-25-2009 12:54 PM

...where can YOU see Motogp Without commercials, Bubba??? Even if it's live... there are ALWAYS commercial breaks...

No Ralf, I went on the Moto GP website and bought a season pass and got the entire feed from pre-race interviews wit the drivers and uninterupted race feed all the way through the post race interviews with the podium finishers. You can find in on their website. Season pass. It gives you more info than jus the race day stuff.

You can't get the season pass yet. It will be available prolly late March or early April before the 12t at Doha/Losail. It was worth every penny last year. You can see it as it happens if you want to mess with your internal clock. lol It is available in High Resolution for a bit more jing-wa.

signit98 02-26-2009 07:46 AM

Max Neukirchner is an excellent rider and very capable of laying some good times on the tarmac... his problem is that he has a bike that just EATS tires... should they ever be able to get that under control... WATCH OUT WSBK!

Guest24 02-26-2009 08:56 AM

I see that the SBK says Race 2 will begin at 0530 CET on 1 Mar. If I do the math that means that it will start at 2330 hrs EST and at 2030 PST on 28 Feb. Am I right? I think it can be viewed live on the SBK TV channel on your puter.
