Your Top 8 For Superpole
With the advent of a new style Superpole this year who are your top 8 qualifiers?? at Philip Island, although i have to say you'll some kinda crystal ball for this year.
|
1. Fabrizio
2. Haga 3. Kagayama 4. Neukirchner 5. Spies 6. Checa 7. Rea 8. Corser |
Ralf has the 8 I would pick, although not necessarily in that order.
|
Hey if we are Gambling....
1. Spies 2. Corser Tied for Second 2. Haga Tied for Second 3. Fabrizio 4. Neukirchner 5.Whom ever it is will have a DNF on the Grid 6. Kagayama 7. Checa 8. Rea |
I actually think Rea is gonna come out swinging early season and will be blazing, but then will crash spectacularly a number of times like Jorge Lorenzo, which should detune him a bit. I predict Spies will ride fast and smart, and will be in WC contention the whole season.

Corser is still learning here's a quote from him after the bird strike.
"The tests went very well, though it's a real shame that I had to finish early because we still had lots more to try out," said Corser after testing. "But I guess I'm lucky that I didn't crash and hurt myself badly when I hit the bird. I'm really not sure how I managed to stay on the bike, because it's not easy when you've only got one hand on the bars, but somehow I was able to recover. "We have learnt a lot in these two days and I've been able to get a better idea of how the bike works in different conditions and set-ups. What I can say though, is that my S 1000 RR feels as good as any other bike I've ever ridden round here." |
1.Haga
2.Fabrizio 3.Spies 4.Bryne 5.Neukirchner 6.Rea 7.Checa 8.Sykes If it had been the old 1 lap superpole i'd have put Corser in but it ain't,and even with him on it i'm not sure the bike is good enough for him to hussle it round, and certainley not in the race, not this early in the year. |
Chris, you're weighting the 1098R very high aren't you.
|
He does because it's an 1198R, Bubba...

It's not the bikes but the guys on e'm Haga has a point to prove and now Fabrizio has got the monkey of Bayliss off his back i think you'll see a different animal, but in reality it's guessing game,it's gonna be close. |
Does SBK have a live feed like Moto GP. I don't care for the broadcast stuff with all of the commercials. All I can find is that it's on the Speed Channel Sunday at 4 PM EST.
|
...where can YOU see Motogp Without commercials, Bubba??? Even if it's live... there are ALWAYS commercial breaks...

1. Haga
2. Spies 3. Rea 4. Corser 5. Fabrizio 6. Kagayama 7. Checa 8. Neukirchner I just copied Ralfs coz they sounded good to me and then shuffled them around. |
Max Neukirchner is an excellent rider and very capable of laying some good times on the tarmac... his problem is that he has a bike that just EATS tires... should they ever be able to get that under control... WATCH OUT WSBK!

I see that the SBK says Race 2 will begin at 0530 CET on 1 Mar. If I do the math that means that it will start at 2330 hrs EST and at 2030 PST on 28 Feb. Am I right? I think it can be viewed live on the SBK TV channel on your puter.
1. Spies 2. Rea 3. Neukirchner 4. Haga 5. Fabrizio 6. Xaus 7. Resch 8. Corser |
Interesting Nail.
