good things come to those who wait

I missed out on the last run of motoyoyo clamps because of a lack of $ at the time. Well last week I e-mailed Scott Hartley on the off chance he had any left overs.

It seems a few were impatient and canceled. Their lost my gain. I got the last black set. Scott said that there is one silver and one gold set still avaliable.

They came yesterday so I spent today installing them. Not a bad job. I made a jig similar to the one Bill Swartzwelder made, and had to turn down a 46mm deep socket in the lathe so it would fit. Other than that no real problems.

I just got back from a ride and have to say there is a noticeable difference. I rode Valley Chapel RD, which has many tight (bumpy) corners. I have ridden this road many times on the s, so this gave me a good chance to give an honest evaluation of the new clamps.

I couldn't get the tires warm enough to push real hard, so I keep sliding the bike. The front end is much more planted in the corners with the Motoyoyo clamps. I noticed it the most in the real bumpy corners. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow and Sunday so I'll have a better chance to them through the paces then.

Oh and they are beautiful too!!

Here are a couple of pictures of valley Chapel

Thanks Scott I'm a believer.

Bill and Bill,

I went for my first ride with them on last weekend. About 300 miles of twisty ocean and mountain roads, some parts of which would have a mountain goat complaining about the surface.

I, too, couldn't get over how planted the front felt along with a more responsive reaction to change of direction inputs.

Next weekend is a 4 day 1300 mile trip through the high country in the Aussie state of Victoria and then into the Snowy Mountains. About 900 miles of this is bends.

Can't wait.

Bill don't know it is all between your ears?

Can't wait to try mine. Still waiting for one of the joints.
