What do you wear under your riding pants?

I often wear bicycle shorts for their crotch padding, but I am thinking of these Icon shorts that are padded at the hips. Anybody familar with these?

I have tried bicycle shorts, but they can get itchy after a long hot day.
Silk, or nylon boxers are the most comfy. They breathe better and don't pull hair.

*Under* my riding pants...hey you're lucky I even wear riding pants. After all I am NakedRider...just kidding.

I tried bicycle shorts before but the pads made me feel like a had a pant load. Now I wear the boxer briefs that whisk away moisture and they are very comfortable. Found them at REI. I liked them so much I ended up wearing them all the time.

I assume that the armor is in the rash guards / pants themselves, so underneath it's CW/X or X-Bionic for me. The stuff works wonders. If the rash guard / pants doesn't have armor, then I'd have Forcefield armor then the CW/X or X-Bionic.

Under Armor, long sleeve T and leggings. Hot Gear in summer, Cold Gear in winter. I highly recommend them.

Ditto.
Under Armor's Heat Gear 9" long boxers have really added comfort to my ride and at 19.99, while not inexpensive themselves, they are way cheaper than some of the similar products marketed by motorcycle aparrel companies. As an added benefit, I've been using them for a year now and through multiple washings, they maintained the shape and grip on the legs and waist.

I like the BMW wicking underwear. Washes and dries over night when your on the road. I only needed two sets for a month long trip last summer. Bring on the wise-ass cracks.

I love the under armor type suits -- I used to wear the biking shorts but after a few very extended rides, my jewels were NOT happy. Sorry for the TMI but I had numbness issues for a LONG time and even developed a slight growth that finally went away. Maybe it was where the seam was so ensure there isn't a seam running up the middle and that they are made properly. Just as there are Balaclavas for skiing (seam up the middle) and for riding (no seam on the head for comfort in a helmet.

Boxer briefs.

I find that gore-tex riding pants are uncomfortable on my bare legs. So I wear lightweight long underwear on long trips. Something made from Cool-Max, such as CapileneŽ 1 Bottoms from Patagonia. "Silky soft Capilene 1 is the lightest of our technical baselayer fabrics"
