Got confirmation this morning from Tom at SJBMW...my S 1000 RR is officially ordered!
Alpine White with Red/Blue Accents
Gear Shift Assist
Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
ABS

Got to talking with Chris who looked the bike over at Miller last weekend. He loves it. Said it is light, has extensive suspension set up capability, looks amazing, and sounds wicked.

I'm thinking of ordering new leathers with a diaper insert...

Old enough to know better, but not too old to do anything about it. I'm not a 20 year old squidly. I do not fit the "demographics" that BMW is aiming at with this bike but. Don't worry, they make diapers my size.

Thre are 4 color options...basically as follows: silver, dk gray, green, alpine white

Here is a cheat sheet one of the BMW chicks had to answer questions with. I think she said the price was under 14K.

They had lots of literature on the bike, it should show up in dealers soon (literature not the bike).

Awesome! when i saw the colors there wasn't a mention of the white, the first thing I said was "good! no apline white to make me want one." Damn, sounds like it is painted like the pre-pro show bike? hmmm, gorgeous. My dealer said $14,600, I assumed that was base price. Mighty tempting. Sir I am jealous, congrats.

So the R12S was 14k right? and it was 21k over here so maybe 22500 for the S1000R. There has been talk of 25k - that's too much imo, the rest of the big 4 are around 20

COngrats on getting the order in - my Dealer still has my deposit and no-one's called me...

Here is the owner of the hand that was holding the card if I remember correctly.

I was told close $15,000 when my order was placed today.
The only options that i was able to be ordered were color, gear assist, and alarm.
I ordered the white and alarm.
The traction control and abs were options but were not disclosed what type nor how they are adjustable.

I may be mistaken about the under 14K, it is possible she told me under 15K, and I was thinking 14something.
